[[Imagine a world where gas stations are replaced by charging stations]]

Imagine a state where gas cars are prohibited, and citizen are really really pissed off because the state has constant blackouts and vrownouts, and must declare certain times for charging, and progibitt8ng charging during “off hours”

Imagine also a state that has banned gas cars where citizens jam up al. The available charging stations, where there are lines for charging miles long, and people pissed off because they have to wait hours on end just to get back home again.

Imagin3 states where gasoline cars are illegal, and which heavily fines and taxes out of state drivers who break the rules.

Imagine a state where gas cars are illegal and cops are flat out tied up chasing down the myriad new “felons” who simply drive gas cars having no time for other actual criminal activity by actual crimi Al’s.

It doesn’t take any imagination to realize how asinine the whole electric car mandate thing is

Californians will go buy their cars in Arizona and Nevada. California might be able to restrict the sale of something IN THE STATE but it cannot restrict residents of California from buying something out of state.

Well, Buccee’s is building four new mega-stations in Florida, so I’m guessing we’re safe for a couple years, anyway.

The previous assembly screwed virginia over when it was all democrat with a communist governor. They passed a law that said Virginia will do what ever California says. And the courts allowed it when challenged.

I have no problem with electric cars so long as they are cost competitive with no goverment subsidy with my Ram 1500 internal combustion engine with 395 horsepower and can drive 500 miles on a tank of gas and recharge in 5 minutes like my Ram can with gasoline. Physics denies this possibility. At about 200 thousand miles my Ram will need an overhaul of its engine, about 9 thousand dollars. See below for a Ford Lighting.

Standard range battery costs $28,556 while the extended pack will set you back $35,960. This excludes any labor costs. The Lightning’s battery system is split into eight modules, each of which costs around $4,000 MSRP, excluding labor.Apr 19, 2024. And with the extended range it is 320 miles. Put a ton of payload in the back and it is far less.

EVs are economic crap. When one considers the battery pack is about 80 percent of a new combustion vehicle the choice is simple.

Are they banning the sale of NEW gas-powered cars only? If so, USED gas-powered cars will be in hot demand.

“25 refrigerators.
That’s how much the additional electricity consumption per household would be if the average US home adopted electric vehicles (EVs).

Congressman Thomas Massie—an electrical engineer—revealed this information while discussing with Pete Buttigieg, the Secretary of Transportation, President Biden’s plan to have 50% of cars sold in the US be electric by 2030.

The current and future grid in most places will not be able to support each home running 25 refrigerators—not even close. Just look at California, where the grid is already buckling under the existing load.”
