Ronald Reagan won the Cold War without firing a shot. Now the USA is in a proxy war with Russia.

It's really scary how millions of people believe what they're told to believe, yield to group pressure, jump onto the latest zeitgeist groupthink bandwagon.

I never understood how millions of Germans could believe the nazi propaganda and follow Hitler down the Road to Hell--until the 21st century.

Back in the 20th century, American education taught students to think for themselves. Today they are indoctrination centers.

Once American journalism was revered for its commitment to truth, for seeking truth, truth for its own sake. Today it's an integral part of a crass, mendacious propaganda machine, very much like Hitler's.

Once America's legal system and government institutions and agencies were pristine and revered. Today they are corrupt.

Once Americans would have recalled in horror and disgust at the depravities accepted as normal by Americans today, and in fact championed by the intelligentsia.

Back in the 1970's, my father's brother, a brilliant man, elderly then, told me that one day America might go the way of the Roman Republic. I believed him. I bought and read Gibbon's Decline and Fall of the Roman Empire. However I considered such an eventuality to be far in the distant future and could not imagine how it could happen considering America's enormous internal strength, prowess, and moral health. Today I understand perfectly.

The Hawks turned on Reagan after he agreed to meet Gorby in Rejkjavik. They felt betrayed. But Reagan was right!

And he wanted a “Marshall Plan” for Russia, to try to build their economy. But Bush and Clinton just wanted to kick Russia when it was down. So you got Putin.

Hitler at least promised order and prosperity in their society.

on the other hand, I always wondered how Chinese could accept the call to disorder and chaos, and allow red guards (organized by Mao), to roam the streets, smashing-up 1000 year-old cultural relics and institutions, denounce and kill their teachers, monks, priests, opposition politicians, and even fighting themselves. They literally promised destruction - and still people followed.

Like Jake Sullivan talking two days ago about the USA killing thousands of civilians in Kosovar, Iraq, Afghanistan and Viet Nam without blikening an eye nor saying sorry that it is just a part of doing business the Chicago-way.

American is now actually becoming a Gangster nation right out of a G-Man Novel.
