Russia has accused Nato and the US of "provoking a new level of tension" after the US and Germany became the latest allies to let Ukraine's military to use Western-supplied weapons to strike targets inside Russia.
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said Nato countries, especially the US and several European countries, had "entered a new round of escalating tension and they are doing this deliberately", in remarks quoted by the Tass news agency.
The UK and France had already signalled they were open to easing restrictions on Ukraine striking military sites on Russian territory, before US President Joe Biden said on Thursday night that American-supplied weapons could be used.

Ukraine has been a cash cow for them. The war will continue as long as its profitable.
A hot war will be a loser. America rejected Truman for Eisenhower on Ike's promise to end Korea. Ditto LBJ/Nixon over Vietnam. Not saying we were right to accept defeat in either case, but that's what happened. Putin is hoping for another such collapse of popular support, and a change of leadership. Hence the barrage of threats aimed at the Western media, and the flood of "influencers" on social media, including FR.
I think that sentiment will the same for millions of families around the world.
I have a nephew who was a Captain in the 101st Airborne, he recently got out on a full medical retirement, he damaged 2 discs in his back getting thrown out of a Humvee during a training exercise.
He could have stayed but decided it wasn’t worth it anymore putting up with all the Woke Nonsense, the Afghan withdraw and the potential to be thrown into a war no one wants.

Well if Russia doesn’t like it, they’re free to pull back to the pre-2012 borders.
I don’t know if it will go nuclear immediately, or not, but I suspect Russia will respond in a lethal fashion. A US embassy (or 10) might get bombed, or over-run by local extremists. A US warship (or 10) somewhere in the world might catch a torpedo. An American aircraft (or 10) might get blown out of the air, by a bomb smuggled onboard at a foreign airport. Or the Ruskies might just get impatient and use a tactical nuke somewhere, given the clown in the Oval Office.
Anyone who thinks the Russians will be unable to respond to US warheads landing inside Russia is smoking way too much hopium.
A hot war with Russia will end the White House, the Biden team, and a whole lot else.

It’s a new time. Americans tend to keep the elected officials who are in office at the time of war. If the left can keep power for the next 4 years, by then, all the illegals will be voting, and Republicans will never win another national election.

Viet Nam was a hot war with China. That is, what I think, the left is envisioning with Russia/Ukraine. Lots of munitions used, lots of corruption flowing, and distraction for the masses.
Russia will show up and fight, if the USA starts a war and the actual fighters don’t show up, it will be a catastrophic defeat for the USA, which is maybe what we need to completely eliminate the MIC and all the Neocons.

You're right but there are easier ways for them to get rich. There is something much deeper and darker going on in Ukraine. I hope the answers come out soon.
