One step Russia may take is to do something they have never done in this war, which is to target all the bridges in Ukraine;

Why would Russia do that? Russia has trouble maintaining logistics on regular highways, why would they take out their only means of advancement for when they do finally overwhelm the Ukrainians? They sure can't manage going off-road if all the bridges are out!


Russia has also withheld using its full military strength to date. There are over 700,000 military personnel in Russia that have not joined the nearly 500,000 currently working in the conflict.

Russia can't just send everyone to the Ukraine, they need to protect their China border, as well as man every military facility across ten? eleven? time zones. Russia has short conscription durations, short training periods, it's not like this is a whole new functional Army coming in. It's just a bunch of low-level mostly combat grunts.

Ukrainian Army at 40% strength. Ukrainian combat effectives are now estimated to be only 250,000 and in total 400,000 soldiers ramain. Russia now has 500,000 with 300,000 coming in the Northen Kiev Buffer Zone Offensive.

The real news in this is that Ukraine had 400,000 reserve and NG soldeirs at the beginning and 800,000 standing army.

Soon the West will have to admit Russia’s stated objective was killing Ukrianian soldiers and not taking land. Zelenski’s demands to defend every inch made this easy to achieve.
