Prosecution closing arguments went on for hours and hours and hours. This must have irritated the heck out of the jury. Not a sign of confidence in their case. Jury instructions begin at 10 am ET. Thoughts?
Good morning! This should be a raucous day. Will the jury instructions be presented and objected to in open court? As far as I’ve read, they have not been released for review.
On the optimistic side, the jury returns in an hour with a Not Guilty verdict, or at the end of day with Hung Jury. Will judge for them to continue for day or days?
The jury shall disregard all evidence and statements presented by the defense and return a Guilty Verdict or face Indictments as Co-Conspirators...
Good morning!
Re your question, our in house legal beagles will have to weigh in.
My thoughts are.... that I have a real bad feeling about the outcome. Am hoping that it’s just my usual paranoia.
But let’s face it. The reality is... this nation has effectively been ‘fundamentally transformed’ into a country I no longer recognize in many ways. The Marxists have been busy.
Maybe, Not Guilty of the underlying and undisclosed misdemeanor that is beyond statute of limitations, then Guilty of everything else, well, because.
Usually, depending on the complexity of the case, a quick verdict would not be a good sign (guilty verdict). If deliberations extend for days, hung jury is the likeliest outcome.
“Will judge for them to continue for day or days?”
Given this ‘judge’, he’ll likely speed things up by impounding the children of the jurors until the ‘correct’ verdict is reached.
I’m optimistic. Lawfare has been a dumpster fire for Democrats so far. Even in the worse case scenario (guilty verdict), it won’t make any difference. Voters have made their minds up — Biden must go, and they don’t give a rat’s ass about Stormy Daniels or this trial.
“Not Guilty” by noon.
Would make this the best day ever.
Knowing what a hack Merchan is, he will insist that the jury keep trying to reach a verdict until they arrive at the “correct” (and most profitable verdict for the Merchan family) — guilty
>I’m optimistic.
I would be too, but there are two lawyers on the jury, they know their colleagues know they’re out on jury duty, and with all the debarment procedures against lawyers that align against Trump, they’re probably going to take the lead and tell the jurors to vote guilty.
It would be like Nov. 8, 2016 (at around 9 pm ET) all over again! Watching the salty tears run down Joy Reid’s face will be one for the ages! LOL
