The perp seems to be a guy dressed as a girl. So my initial guess is that one of his victims used the wrong pronoun, or maybe teased him. And that set him off.

I don’t know what theater chain that one belongs to, but some are gun free zones.
“At approximately 3:36 p.m., Connecticut State Police Troop F – Westbrook responded to a report of a disturbance at an address in the town of Deep River,” CSP announced.
One person was found dead at the scene and “a suspect in this investigation has been taken into custody in the State of Massachusetts and there is no active threat to the public.”
Connecticut State Police issued an alert earlier on Saturday for the suspect, describing him as “armed and dangerous” with a 10-inch knife, CBS Boston reported.
How convoluted those set of sentences are.
Are they assuming that the one nabbed in Mass. is their murder suspect who is now in custody, and so there is no threat now? Seems like a bad string of sentences to me, since the person nabbed in Mass. is only suspected to be involved in the Conn. case.
Also seems that the Conn. troopers are wrong for calling the all clear & no threat to community claim, without confirmation that this person was the one responsible for the killing in Conn.
Check your state laws. Unlike schools, most businesses can only ask you to leave if they spot your CCW. If you refuse they can charge you with trespassing. I would take the option of leaving if asked rather than being a sitting disarmed duck. I do avoid gun ban businesses, but I have found that I carried and did not even know their policy until I read about it later.
