I think he had the right instinct when he came into office. He was initially very reluctant to impose lockdowns, but then he got rolled by his bureaucrats.

RFK is flat-out wrong about this. Trump wasn’t “rolled” by anyone. He was advised to make decisions for purely political reasons because he would lose the election if he didn’t “do something” to deal with what has become hysterical Branch Covidian idiocy.

The political advice he got was probably sound. Anyone who doesn’t believe that should keep in mind that some of us will never forget how many simpering, pathetic losers we had to deal with right here on this website back in the spring of 2020.

You are correct Alberta's Child.

Trump is not a trained medical person. He cannot practice medicine. Thus, he is beholden to listen to the advice of the "experts" that the government has employed to assist the President. If not then he can be impeached for overstepping his authority as President. But these "experts" had two motivations to lead the President in the wrong direction. The first was political, and the second was to reap in big profits. Do you understand now, Randfan, exactly how much the government, both political parties, hate the citizens of this nation?

However, at some point in time he had to make the decision to stop the remedy being pushed as it was causing more harm than good. He even went beyond what he wanted to, in order to exercise the utmost caution for their recommendations to be in force. Remember they are medical "experts", but finally Trump had to say that he must take other concerns into consideration with regards to what is happening to the nation by following these restrictions.

Trump mad no mandate for States to close their states, 7 states did not lockdown or impose any of the other restrictions. Trump respected state's rights. So the blame for lockdowns then rightfully fell on the state Governors and their actions should be the real target of people such as you Randfan, whom I agree with on a lot of issues, but on this issue he is way off target with his accusations on this topic. His operation warp speed was enacted to get vaccines out to the public to combat the effort to keep lockdowns in place until a vaccine was made available. He had tried to get Hydroxychloroquine made available, very early on, to every American who wanted that. In fact, Trump ordered it to be so. However, it was another "expert" Dr. Scott Gottlieb at FDA made it available only to those who had been admitted into the hospital, and the hospital was told to use remdesivir as well. Dr. Scott Gottlieb then left and went to Pfizer. Had Hydroxychloroquine been made available, the vaccine would have become ineligible to be approved for EUA because there would now be a product that worked to combat the Covid virus.

So, Randfan, if you are going to speak on a topic at least be sure that you know the entire story instead of spreading your beliefs that are woefully incomplete rendering them totally false..

Otherwise, refrain from speaking about a topic you obviously have very limited knowledge about. Because the nation, no the world, needs Trump to return to office.

Thanks for listening.
