(CNN) -
The Manhattan District Attorney’s Office made a significant tactical error announcing they were resting their case after calling Michael Cohen as their final witness in the Donald Trump hush money trial. But it’s not because Cohen, a convicted felon and disbarred lawyer, was a bad witness. He actually did pretty well in responding to the prosecution’s warm-up when confronted with his prior bad acts, convictions and bias toward the former president, staying steady on the stand and not losing his cool.
But Cohen lost his footing during cross-examination Thursday, where it appeared he omitted important information when recounting an October 2016 phone call he claims he had with Trump to discuss the hush money payment. The heated exchange between Trump’s attorney Todd Blanche and Cohen marked the biggest blow to the prosecution’s case so far.

Is it out for deliberation already?
I thought the prosecution rested but the defense part was still going on
Closing arguments are next Tuesday. The jury is not deliberating at this time.
The prosecution’s closing argument, “Donald Trump is a poopy head, and therefore you must convict him!”
The judge basically did not let Trump’s lawyer present a defense. The defense only called one witness and they were only allowed to ask 2 questions. It went to the Jury yesterday.
If someone votes to not convict, they’ll walk out of their apartment building a few weeks later...and 4 big black guys will stomp them into a puddle on the ground.
The cops will arrest suspects and the DA will release them. The media will snicker.
Hasn’t gone to the jury yet. They need to hear closing arguments and then the judge will instruct them that Donald Trump’s breathing is a crime against humanity.
THEN it will go to the jury.
Isn't that why cross-examination exists?
Yes. Opinion pieces contain opinions.
OJ Jury in reverse, will vote to convict while the world vomits and the leftists writhe in ecstasy.
Possible, but I don’t think you are sure about that.
That’s purely nothing more than a kangaroo court. They want to predict the outcome first & go through the motions after that.
