Judgment Day: Democrats bank on abortion to carry Biden as GOP adjusts strategy

Election Day is less than six months away, and voters have a familiar choice of Joe Biden and Donald Trump. Unless it’s The Godfather Part II, sequels rarely live up to the hype. Although it may look like a 2020 repeat, the stars are competing in a different game and under different rules. This series, ‘Judgment Day: Why 2024 rematch won’t be any old sequel, investigates the key differences from 2020. Part Three is on the first presidential election post Roe v. Wade reversal.

Less than six months until the November election, Democrats are counting on women, infuriated over the Supreme Court striking down the landmark Roe v. Wade case, to save them once again.

Lingering anger over the loss of abortion rights two years ago has led to Democratic victories in multiple elections despite a host of issues threatening the party, including rising grocery and gas prices, protests against the Israel-Hamas war, and growing disapproval of President Joe Biden.

After stinging defeats in the 2022 midterm elections and numerous state-level ballot measures, Republicans, led by former President Donald Trump, have sought to find a middle ground on abortion by allowing states to decide restrictions without federal interference.

This and the younger men with women of.child bearing age don’t want to be hit with child payments of 25% of their pretax gross income for a hook up. Remember the younger generations don’t have the same morals and never will. Marriage is a losing net for young men the courts are packed against them. $300 for a couple of pills or 18 years of 25% of gross. At $100k per year that’s half a million not including inflation. The choice is clear for young men. Again the moral rightwing causes are not resonate with the youngsters that’s just a fact accept it or not but it doesn’t change that fact.

“But we have other things to worry about. If we have to give abortion rights to appease married women in the suburbs, so be it.”

This is the right answer, now convince the zealot rightwing Bible thumpers of that. The suburban women their daughters, sons and husbands who are looking at their genZ daughters are all going to vote pro choice. Nothing energizes suburbanites more than this one issue. I can tell you people especially young people who have never voted are going to crawl over broken glass in November to keep old white men from telling them or their daughters they are hand maidens. The bloodbath will be historic in every state it’s on the ballot. Move on and let’s close our borders, cut spending including social security, F the Ukes it’s not our fight let the EU deal with it or let Russia have it. Stop funding places like Iran who.hate us so much more important stuff than telling a 20-30yo woman she can or cannot take some pills which is how the vast majority of these happen now anyways.

Hey “in masse” (sic). Re-electing Joetato isn’t going to make the Supremes change their minds.
‘Womb tombs’ have a choice now: they can move to, or travel to an infanticide state to kill their babies.
This was always a police power left to the states by the framers, and was usurped by the feds using creative fiction to find a non-existent—at least in the US Constitution—”right”.
>B-but we have an ace in the hole: the right to choose!
See above. Abortion as a form of birth control is over in sane states. Angry ‘Elaine Benes’s’ Karens and Maudes won’t overcome a country appalled by 3 years and 5 months of Joe Biden. That’s your point, right?

It’s a state issue now and the states with referendum are all moving to make it either a fixed part of the constitution or legal with limits on what the state Supreme Court can do. It’s not a federal issue anymore. In states without referendum it’s going to take a change of reps and that will happen in November more than likely again at the state level where it belongs. The feds should be worried with lowering our taxes securing our border and telling the criminals in the Ukraine to pound sand. The Supremes rightfully sent it to the state’s it’s a tenth amendment issue.

Many Republicans are following Trump's lead on this issue. And give the American people what they want in the states.

Prolife advocates should continue to make their cases in churches, private schools and other areas. As long as it's not political.

They are banking on women being willing to starve to death so they can kill their babies.

Pretty safe bet - the pro-aborts know there is always some simp out there willing to pay their bills. Especially the taxpayer…

The bigger issue is to what degree this is all theater - the fraud is pre-arranged and these alleged wedge issues are just an attempt to justify illogical results. We heard every bizarre excuse in the world for why Arizona voters supposedly gave Katie Hobbs the win over Kari Lake in 2022, when the far more logical answer was that various malefactors connected to Hobbs’ Secretary of State offices simply delivered the result they were paid to deliver.

I predict the women being counted on will just stay home.

If in fact the majority of Americans want free and easy and unlimited abortions then nothing will save our civilization. It is just running on inertia now.

Marriage is a losing net for young men the courts are packed against them.

We need to reform the family court system. As it is, less folks from the lower and middle classes are getting married nowadays.

You only see the Wealthy Liberal Elite folks getting married.

Abortion is their strongest issue, by far, and if you aren’t already sick of hearing about it, you will be soon.

It is an interesting thing that supporters of purposely sterile sex are the strongest champions of unlimited abortion.

Many people find this a paradox, because they don’t understand or never have been taught telos and teleology.

The telos of M-F intercourse is life itself. Once realized, the rest is simple to figure out.

I expect by August, we will hear about Roe vs Wade 24/7.

They will be targeting white women living in the suburbs.

Thanks.

100% correct.
