Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) on Wednesday appeared to back allowing Ukraine to use American-provided weapons to strike Russia or Russian-controlled territory.
One reporter asked Johnson about a House Intelligence Committee letter calling on the Biden administration to allow Ukraine to strike Russia with American-supplied weapons.
The letter stipulates that this would allow Ukraine to strike “Russian-controlled territory” as well as Russian territory and represents a significant escalation in America’s seemingly endless proxy war against Russia.

When McCarthy was ousted, we were told Mike Johnson was a strong conservative.Check his bank account in Switzerland.
If not for that, he's being blackmailed.

More hack journalism.
The article title says “backs”.
The body of the article says “appeared to back”.
Does ANYONE have journalistic integrity?
What a bunch of click-bait whores.

We don’t need a war with Russia — fighting in its own backyard — when our government and its Marxist/Muslim allies are wrecking what’s left of western civilization.
To: ChicagoConservative27
I'm sure Mike won't mind if the Russians play tit for tat by a missile strike on Washington, DC. American weapons directed against Russian territory and sometimes under the control of Americans or NATO is an open invitation for retaliation. Mike isn't playing with a full deck.

Does ANYONE have journalistic integrity?Certainly not the Putiniphilic Posters above.
But MeganC has it nailed: "After two years of Russian men pointlessly dying in Ukraine then the next step to disabuse the Russians of their imperial ambitions is to let them have a taste of their own medicine".
Putin says he wants a "buffer zone" in Ukraine? Let's turn that around. Let him move all his troops and logistics 100 kilometers back from his 1991 border with Ukraine. Peacekeeping troops. UN observers.

If you intend to dish it out, you shouldn’t be surprised when it’s dished back at you... Putin’s folly is turning into the worst loss of Russian lives since WW2... A war in which millions died fighting and millions more died in gulags... This is not the nostalgia that Russian’s bought into when they originally backed this lunatic.
The end of the cold war brought ordinary Russian’s a freedom they had never experienced... That freedom is now over and they are now being herded into the military as cannon fodder for Vlad’s folly... When the bombs start dropping in Moscow, those who’ve been asleep will awaken and realize this isn’t going to end well for them if they continue to support Putin.
They revolted against Communism and won... They can do the same against Putinism.

If Ukraine wasn’t being backed or supplied by the US, I might agree with you.
Then, would you have disagreed with the U.S. coming to the aid of Europe when the U.S. had to help in the fight against Germany and also helped to resupply the Europeans?
It's the same thing in many ways, and we didn't really have to join the European fight, since we weren't directly being attacked. I know that it's generations ago and the memory fails, but the same reasons for war still exist, and Ukraine didn't start the war, just like the Europeans didn't start WWII.

Too bad Russia doesn't strike Commie-controlled areas in parts of the world.
I think we would all benefit.

War is a two-way street in the Ukraine war Yes, so why shouldn't Russia use their weapons to attack the United States or our allies? We have been manipulating the situation in Ukraine for many years and this "war" was the inevitable outcome.

Actually, it's the opposite, where a Russian victory and takeover in Ukraine would speed up a third world war.
So, it would be your side of the story which is urging for a WWIII. What happened before WWII in Europe, is happening now, not only in Europe but in Asia with China. Not helping Ukraine would be devastating for Ukraine and all of Europe and the U.S. Even as we hate that Biden is the one in charge, it's not Biden's war; it's the world's problem
