The share of Latino students attending intensely segregated schools has skyrocketed over the last three decades, according to two new reports and an Axios review of federal data.
Why it matters: Intensely segregated schools, defined as schools with a student population that is more than 90% nonwhite, have fewer resources, more teacher shortages, higher student-to-school counselor ratios, and fewer AP class options.
Driving the news: As the U.S. marks the 70th anniversary of the landmark Brown v. Board of Education ruling on Friday, American public schools are growing more separate and unequal even though the country is more racially and ethnically diverse than ever.
State of play: Around 28% of the nation's public school students were Latino in 2021, compared to 16% in 2000. But as the share of Latinos in the country has surged, the schools they attend have become much more segregated.

The White population is being reduced to a minority. Soon there won't be enough White people to go around to lift minorities.
It's a lose-lose future.
For many decades, as Mr. Carl writes, the American housing market has presented “the pathetic spectacle of non-whites following whites as they move around like vagabonds from place to place, looking for a community free from crime and chaos — all while the non-whites yell at them about racism.”

If we deport 30,000,000 people who are here illegally and their illegal spawn this will no longer be a problem.

Exactly.
Whites are basically the peacemakers between everybody. Without us, you will have a world of chaos as everybody goes after everybody’s throats.
“Alright, but apart from that what have the whites ever done for us?”
Everyone demands equal access to white people.
DemocRATS love to divide, divide, divide. They just love finding more and more ways to divide us up, and then pit one group against another. They are, after all, the party of segregation and the KKK. The KKK was the military wing of the DemoKKKrats.
Stanford University, while touting and celebrating ‘diversity’ has developed segregated housing: Ujamaa House is for African-American; Okada House is for Asians; Casa Zapata is for Chicanx and Latinx (99% of Spanish speakers do not like the new Latinx phraseology, and they do not speak Latin either).
The Stanford University website explains: “”Our ethnic theme communities have a rich and long history of engaging students at the highest levels of intellectual discovery and advancing diversity””
DemoKKKrats have a loooong history of hateful racism and segregation.
“Advancing diversity” by segregation. Sounds right out of 1984.
Well, if they don't have access to white people, they can't learn.
Yes-diversity IS segregation-and that is something we got rid of and do NOT need back for any reason...
100% agree.
Before that 19565 immigration law really kicked off in the 80s or so, there were articles about empty schools, laying off teachers.
I think if someone researched it that they would find that a lot of the left’s push for foreign masses isn’t just to make a one party country through their votes, but also to keep bodies coming in to fill the schools and need the services and welfare that create work for the millions of government employees.
Latinos tend to be too Catholic, too family oriented, and too conservative. The left wishes to minimize their influence.
Well, on the positive side, if they are not citizens, it will make it easier to round them up and deport them. For the others, if their parents and families are illegal, round those them up as well and deport them. For the remaining citizens, let them focus on school, on being Americans.
I visited the campus in Sept 2023 for my class 50th reunion. We were taken on a tour of the campus. Lockers are gone. Bolted tight to fend off drug dealing. Classroom doors have extra security. Lots of high end classes with good financing on campus (better $$$ than when I attended). One can not excuse the poorer performance because of inadequate funding.
There is a "special" space for the "developmentally challenged". In 1973 the phrase was "zoo English" for those who would not or could not grasp the instructional opportunities. Often the PE teachers were tasked with the "zoo" classes.

Here in Texas, all of my Hispanic Friends, are more conservative than any of my gringo friends.
You grew up in Chula Juana, close to Venereal Beach.
California gets more political, snaky Mexicans, very different from Texas.
A regional difference within Mexico, like NYC yankees versus the pure and wholesome, Texas people.
