The Plot Against the President doesn't end with triumph and victory like Costa-Gavras's rousing Z. Neither does it end with vengeance like Red Dawn. Fact is, Milius has made a cliffhanger -- but with an informative explanation.

When “Z” first came out I had a friend who told me it assisted him greatly in understanding “what was going on”. Based on his comment I went to see it, and found it to be a film laden with Leftist propaganda. Naturally it won several awards icluding an Oscar as Best Foreign Language Film.
