A lot of planning for a guy that is a bit of a nutter.
There’s real justice if you attack a member of the Party.
He should have attacked a Republican. He would have been given probation.
He would have been given a medal in SF.
It was a very nutty plan, but it fits the guy if you read about him and his wild and crazy activism and life.
So should he have gotten less?
He must have been to get past all that security. Good thing Russia or North Korea didn’t try with their assassins. If DePape got that close, think what an expert could do.
No, I just don’t understand the lack of consistency across the country - or perhaps it’s really the difference between the consideration of the Elite and we Little People.
What security? Nancy and her security were not in residence at the time.
For a guy who has such strong opinions about the guy and his attack, his trial and his sentencing, you don’t seem to have even looked into it.
Tell me, again, how many years Rand Paul’s attacker got sentenced to?
And Steve Scalise’s?
Shirley you didn’t mean to call me “Francis.”
You can easily look it up yourself. I know I was torqued that it was not as much as I would have liked. I'm thankful that isn't always the case.
Scalise’s shooter was shot dead the same day so no sentence for him, except what God had for him.
Rand Paul’s attacker initially got 30 days but then the prosecution argues that was too lenient and got permission to seek more. They sought 21-24 months in prison. Just over 2 years max.
This guy almost killed a sitting Senator. Two years the max they were even asking for.
Yet you say that 40 years is the going rate for trying to kidnap a family member of a federal employee?
Does not add up. Which is exactly the point being made here. What you’re saying makes it seems like the feds are required to ask for a lot of years - 40 even - for what this guy did, as if to say that what the Pelosi “attacker” got is normal. It’s not, and I’d really like to see where you’re getting the documentation to claim that it is.
Where is this sentencing guideline range, and what was the sentencing guideline range for Rand Paul’s attacker?
I posted my question before I saw your comment.
I would like to know how the sentencing guidelines for Rand Paul’s attacker could be so different than those for the “attacker” of Paul Pelosi.
I would also like to know every piece of communication between the feds and Pelosi’s attacker before his ‘confession”. And a good explanation for how the home of the House Speaker could be this vulnerable. The whole story stinks to high Heaven. Including this sentencing that is so very, very far out of line from other sentences we’ve observed.
“Does Paul Pelosi get conjugal visitation?”
Question of the day. I certainly hope he does. One look at Nancy is enough to make his manhood go limp.
Should have used a nail gun for 30 years.
This is a fascinating discussion.
Your exact words to me were, “Why not tell us what you think happened?” I then told you what I think. Then you respond with a slight person attack. If you asked what actually happened, I would have said “I do not know.” However, that was not your question. I answered the question you asked but for some reason that was not good enough.
Like I said, this is a fascinating discussion. It made my day.
