They attacked Israel, killed and kidnapped a bunch of civilians, and to date have neither surrendered nor in any way said they'll quit trying to destroy Israel "from the river to the sea".

Evidently, not enough of the Gazans have been killed for them to get the point.

I have no doubt that women and children were killed in Gaza. But this is the price you pay for allowing yourself to be served by islamic terrorist groups. Once you let them in to protect you, you are forced out of the decision of who is to be protected based upon their agenda and many times, not your needs. They did not choose wisely in 2006 and they sealed their fate in 2008 when free elections were stopped.
