Ireland, Spain and a number of other EU member states are considering 21 May as the date on which they will jointly recognize the State of Palestine, RTÉ News understands.

Two sources have said that 21 May is being looked at.

A third source said contacts between Dublin and Madrid, as well as between Slovenia and Malta, have been intensifying with a view to the countries jointly recognizing Palestinian statehood. […]

Currently, eight EU member states recognize the State of Palestine, the most recent being Sweden in 2014.

Ireland has been in ongoing discussions with “like-minded” states for a number of months, on the basis that recognition could happen in conjunction with the Arab Peace Plan on a long-term solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. …

All these have become rogue states, particularly because they are trying to ram the so-called 2002 “Arab ‘Peace’ Plan” down Netanyahu’s throat, which any knowledgeable person knows is untenable due to withdrawal to the so-called “1967 ‘borders’” including ceding East Jerusalem and all of Judea-Samaria (so-called West Bank), Gaza (already done to Israel’s suffering), and the Golan Heights. This has always been a plan to destroy Israel.

It's rather odd that Egypt, Jordan, and Saudi Arabia have no intention of recognizing a Palestinian state. Maybe they know something the clueless Euros don't.

Eamon de Valera did absolutely nothing when the Luftwaffe bombed cities on Ireland’s east coast three times in 1941. (The bombs that hit Dublin on 05/31/1941 caused 28 deaths.)
