Sad commentary on the state of human affairs today.
Totally brought on by policies enacted over the past few decades.

Picking up a known felon in the manner you suggest is not a smart move for several reasons. Sorry to be blunt, but you don’t know how to do this better than the Marshals.
To: thefactor
Yet the marshals do it all the time.
To: Morgana
It doesn’t shove them ramming the house.

Picking up a known felon in the manner you suggest is not a smart move for several reasons. What are you talking about factor? You responded to someone who brought up David Koresh and that government sponsored dumpster fire.
If they would have picked up Koresh outside his compound, it's very likely a whole lot of innocent children and others would still be alive to this day.

You’re incorrect. The poster’s first sentence was about Koresh. The following sentences were about today’s incident. The poster believes the Marshals should have picked up the suspect in today’s raid outside of his house. That would not have been a good idea.
To: thefactor
That would not have been a good idea.Let's suppose we accept your premise. Now, give us the details as to why that is not a good idea. Thanks in advance.

True. I suspect most officers killed in the line of duty were killed in so-called routine calls.

they frequently pick people up in public, on the job etc... if they can discern that they are most likely unarmed.
Perhaps they surveilled him for a period of time and concluded that he was always armed.
To: Morgana
Man , I was thinking the same thing!
To: thefactor
Why do I get the feeling we will come to find out police have have had this guy under surveillance, knew his routine, and could have picked him up outside his home anytime. This is what the poster stated above. They had a "Feeling", there were speculating.
And they're likely correct. IF they did have the suspect under surveillance and could have bagged him by surprise in some parking lot after exiting his vehicle, it would likely have resulted in NO deaths.
As it is, there are dead cops all over the places because the suspect obviously have access to adequate firepower, ammo, cover etc etc...
