He shouldn’t be so relieved. As I understand things the $250,000 he has been “forgiven” will be reported to the IRS as “imputed” income. The IRS is not nearly as generous as Biden.
It should also go on his credit report, which potential employers can check.

He will be receiving a letter from the IRS soon welcoming his tax contribution for the loan cancellation effect is now considered income, not to mention the states claws.
