Speaker Mike Johnson Celebrates Democrats Seizing House: ‘We’re Happy’

House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) celebrated Democrats seizing the House by unprecedentedly relying on the opposition party to force President Joe Biden’s priority of Ukraine border defense funds toward a full House vote on Saturday.

“We look forward to every member voting their conscience and their desire, and that is exactly how this process is supposed to work and how the house is supposed to operate,” Johnson told reporters on Friday after passing a rules bill. “So we’re happy to provide that.”

How come Democrat speakers of the House never backstab their base?

“ They need to bring the motion to vacate the chair, so the public can see the Uniparty in action. ”

And what then? Will you be happier with Hakeem Jeffries as Speaker? Johnson is walking a very thin line, what with RINOs defecting and retiring early and a very big election coming up. Johnson knows there is no party loyalty among GOPers, unlike the bloc-voting Dims, so he has to get votes from whomever.

I think he’s doing OK,given the circumstances.

> I don’t know if anyone in Congress represents their constituents the way they’re supposed to… <

Part of the problem is that each House representative now represents roughly 760,000 constituents. Back in 1793 that number was roughly 34,000.

It takes money to get your campaign messages out to 760,000 people. So now collecting huge political donations is their Job 1. I really don’t see how this can be fixed.

That would make the House just under 10,000 members. I think that would be a number two high for the Deep State to buy off.

Great question. When Democrats control things, they are well-organized and ruthless. They push and push to get their way.

When Republicans control things, they’re all about compromise and putting off conservative goals until later (and that “later” never comes).

It’s not hard to see which party will eventually run this country on a permanent basis.

That is exactly what is needed. People scream about Congressional salaries being too high today - but what's the price of zero representation?

Traitor Pence of Schiff Johnson is no better. Making excuses for RINO scum extends the cancer.

That would have been way too unwieldy up until maybe 20 years ago. But with the Internet, hmm…it’s now doable. Representatives could log in from home, debate remotely, and vote remotely.

And you could really get to know your representative. Might be even a guy who lives in your same neighborhood.

But the Deep State would never go for this. As you noted, it would be tough to control (buy off) so many people.

If I said $34,000,000,000,000, would I be close?

Not sure why my comment was removed so I will try again. He is one sick cuck. We would be no better or worse off if a RAT was running the House. What would be the difference?

Perhpas there would be differences. Amnesty, the number SC Justices, statehood for DC, PR...etc. We'll see how far Johnson goes here.

That said, you're right, Johnson is still a bulless cuck.

What would be the difference?

The difference, and the only difference, is that Democrats, instead of Republicans, would be chairing all of the House committees and subcommittee. That's it. Power for power's sake, in other words.

The true obstacle to "making America great again," if that is indeed someone's ultimate aim, is the Republican party, not the Dems. The sooner the GOP is tossed on the ash heap of history, the better.

Making excuses for RINO scum extends the cancer.

This, exactly.

And there remains on this site plenty of shills who are out front, chatting up the security guard, trying to distract his attention while his buddies in the back are ransacking the place, stealing everything that isn't bolted down. By the time the rest here figure out what's been going on, the crooks are long gone and the country is finished.

It's late. Indeed, it's pretty much over and done with at this point.

Why is it that every Republican who assumes this role immediately turns traitor?

The 'Rats likely have the goods on him.
Something in his past they threaten to expose.
