Colorado House Democrats passed “assault weapons” ban legislation Sunday to prohibit the sale of AR-15s and certain 9mm pistols.
On March 20, 2024, Breitbart News reported that the legislation, HB24-1292, bans 9mm pistols that have threaded barrels and accept a detachable magazine.
Moreover, the text of HB24-1292 makes clear that a semiautomatic handgun of any caliber would be banned if it takes a detachable magazine and has a threaded barrel.

Threaded barrels are already illegal here in CaCaLand. To use a suppressor you have to get threads added locally.
As to not using a clip/mag, only revolvers or single shots are legal now.
This is virtue signaling. SCOTUS ruled long ago that no one can ban a firearm that is in common use.

Not the same Colorado my dad and his kin lived in. When I lived there the unofficial motto was
“DON’T CALIFORNICATE COLORADO!”
Well, it has been and now they are moving in on New Mexico.
Remember California in 1989! They came up with an onerous AW ban bill so bad it was shelved.
I had a bad feeling something was about to happen in California. It did.
The State released Pat Purdy from a Mental Institution(not his first time), allowed him to buy guns in violation of Federal and state laws, even passing the waiting period.
He then went and shot up the Stockton School yard killing several students and himself.
The banned bill was pulled out and passed before opposition could be mounted against it.
Be prepared for the Colorado Legislature to do something similar.

In 1976, the founder of handgun Control Inc told in a New Yorker interview his goal was to make ownership of all handguns “TOTALLY ILLEGAL”.
1976 We ONLY want to ban ALL handguns! Rifles will not be affected!
1981, Actress Lee Grant on Good Morning America screams and pokes holes in the air with her finger...”THE NRA IS A RIFLE ORGANIZATION! THEY SHOULD GIVE UP THEIR HANDGUNS AND THEY CAN KEEP THEIR RIFLES!”
1984, They came for the rifles.
1994, they got an “A-s-s-ault Rifle ban hoping it would be forever. Instead of turning off the lights and going home they immediately found another target to attack, 50 Cal Rifles “That can bring down an AIRCRAFT!”
Once they can get a gun ban that will “stick”, they will go after their original target in the 1960s, handguns.
Gun owners know they are always up against a stacked deck.
