A Drag Queen Story Hour sponsored by a propervert organization that was to be held at the Lancaster Public Library was cancelled after a "suspicious package" (which turned out to be coloring books) followed by several emailed bomb threats.

That was a few weeks ago. Afterward, at least two municipalities--one of them Mountville Borough--voted to defund the library.

I suspect the event at the MCC was planned as an "in your face" against the defunding proponents.

It’s not as personal as it seems.

Most of us would object to a female stripper doing ‘story hour’ with our kids too. Let’s leave the kink things to adults. And for God’s sake the drag community needs to get over the drama. They would NOT like it if we brought Bible groups into their nightclubs and forced ourselves on their communities and we feel the same about them forcing themselves on our families and OUR communities. It’s tacky.

Again, same with a heterosexual strippers. Leave the kids alone and don’t push yourselves on people who don’t want your company. We’ll do the same.
