IDF: 99% of the 300 or so projectiles fired by Iran at Israel overnight were intercepted

IDF Spokesman Rear Adm. Daniel Hagari says 99% of the 300 or so projectiles fired by Iran at Israel overnight were intercepted by air defenses.

He says Iran launched 170 drones at Israel, and not one entered Israeli airspace. They were all downed outside of the country’s borders by Israel and its allies.

Another 30 cruise missiles were launched, and not a single one entered Israeli airspace, he says. According to Hagari, 25 of them were downed by the Israeli Air Force.

In addition, Hagari says Iran fired 120 ballistic missiles at Israel. Some of the missiles managed to bypass Israel’s defenses, hitting the Nevatim Airbase in southern Israel.

Hagari says slight damage was caused to infrastructure at Nevatim, but the airbase is running as usual.

Additionally, he says, a handful of drones and missiles were launched from Iraq and Yemen amid the attack, although none entered Israeli airspace.

The IDF releases images showing fighter jets after their return from downing the Iranian drones and cruise missiles.

Missile strike on an airbase, with minimal damage. Sound familiar?

The mullahs have demonstrated their own impotence to their people and the world. They also know that Israel will still hold them accountable for the October 7th attack and atrocities. The Biden cabal can whine all it wants but Israel will do what is necessary. Ultimately they will need to destroy the mullah regime. Soon an Israeli leader akin to Alexander the Great will emerge to transform the modern day Persian regime and destroy the existential threat to Israel.

"IDF: 99% of the 300 or so projectiles fired by Iran at Israel overnight were intercepted"

How does the average Iranian citizen perceive its governments missiles fired at Israel being shot down by neighboring countries. Is it something like finding a message in your voice mail from the Grim Reaper?

Kind of an expensive fail on the part of Iran. I’m sure there are less costly ways of demonstrating one’s impotence.

Forgive me for not understanding but wasn’t this attack already warmed about a few days ago? Is this just a test run or more like a diversion?

I’m thinking this was a test run. See what defensives there are. Mostly drones.

A test run? How many test runs are needed? Israel has destroyed thousands of missiles and drones in the past ten years. How much more testing is needed?

The idea that Arab states would defend Israel is not getting the attention that it should. Who would have ever thought that Saudi Arabia and Jordan would ever defend Israel?

Of 300 missiles fired, a large number were shot down by four different countries (as currently known) before reaching Israel. That shows real international political cooperation, and the C3I/C4I and ISTAR from several different nations military's working together on short notice. On the other side, the flight time from Iran to Israel and the slow speed of the Shahed drones helps defend from them.

I don't think Iran's leaders ever expected this could happen, so they never considered the possibility. This attack only succeeded in turning more countries against Iran and showing how vulnerable they really are. In authoritarian regimes, getting caught by surprise and exposed as this vulnerable is not how leaders stay in power.

99% stopped.

1. Well, that has to be totally and devastatingly embarrassing.

2. And even Jordan and Saudi Arabia joins in for target practice.

3. Even the US, which has to irk the traitors here at home cheering on HAMAS, the terrorist proxy of Iran.

4. Biden loses.

couple of comments.

Abraham accords

IIRC the saudis and the Iranians have been at odds a long time. Recently Russia tried to wean SA from the US and closer to Iran, and the CP of SA hates biden and disrespected Biden by not meeting him at the airport when Biden shut down our pipeline and went east to beg the Saudis to produce more.

jordan has a history of pro west even though they demonstrate and show the muslim flag now and then. (my son was at the embassy in Amman for 9 months. When an incident occurred that effected a muslim country, they would get a call something, like this: there will be a demonstration today a 1 PM and they will throw rocks at the US embassy. The press will take photos and film for the news. At 1:20 the police will round ever one up and move them away. The marines at the embassy used to do PT with the Jordanian military along the dead sea.)

But I agree, actually defending Israel is a major development. am going to say, Trump’s fault.

I agree with you.

On some of the fringe forums, folks have been speculating that some of the arab nations were aiding Israel before tonight and they were LOLed off the boards.

I agree with the post above about the Abraham Accords isolation of Iran working.

Plus King Abdullah gets a $2billion dollar allowance fr us annually. It’s pleasant to see that he stepped up to the plate despite having his own palestinian issues.

The incredible thing to me is that it seems that the arabs are pro President Trump, peace in the middle east=despite full well knowing that means immense pressure on their energy revenues when he is re-elected.

how embarrassing...all weve been hearing the last 30-35 years is how bad ass the Iranian military had become...blah blah blah. People gotta remember, they got all those cheap chinese/russian made garbage munitions. Whens the last time Iran fought a war..it was the Iran/Iraq fiasco that went on for like 10 years. They both used chemical weapons and killed more of their own troops with em when they did. These Arab countries just dont know how to fight. Just too stupid. When Saddam invaded Kuwait in 1990, all the media raved about his “elite Republican Guard”, then ones that actually went into Kuwait. Well, when his million man” army crumbled around them, the dummies in Kuwait panicked and all pulled out on the same day, single file, trying to get back to Iraq. US Air Force couldn’t believe what they were seeing, and the infamous “Highway of Death” happened..like shootin fish in a barrel. These Arab countries better stick to what they do best, terrorism. They love killing unarmed women and children like the cowards they are. This is a golden chance for Israel to put the boots to em..i just wish they had a long range bomber force...and destroy every single military base Iran has...just totally defang them.
