We have younger relatives who have used Planet Fitness for quite some time. Despite the fact that where we are in Central Texas much of this nonsense wouldn’t be tolerated, it has been on the back of their minds. They have slowly built up enough exercise equipment at home to where they have let their memberships expire.

Glad my husband and I built a home gym (it was a little used porch room). It’s paid for itself over the years, membership fees at the gym were rising almost exponentially.
I have no plans to set foot in a commercial gym again, including the YMCA.
