It's not a very good metaphor.

And Japan was not a very good neighbor to bomb Pearl Harbor.

Worse, they continued fighting when they knew they had lost the war.

Atomic Cocktail

It's the drink that you don't pour
Now when you take one sip, you won't need anymore
You're small as a beetle or big as a whale
BOOM, atomic cocktail

It falls and splashes all around the place
When you see it coming, just grab your suitcase
It'll send you through the sky like airmail
BOOM, atomic cocktail

You push a button, turn the dial
Your work is done for miles and miles
When it hits, it's bound to shake
Because it feels just like an earthquake

That's the drink that you don't pour
When you take one sip, you won't need anymore
You're small as a beetle or big as a whale
BOOM, atomic cocktail

It's a good metaphor. If the Japs can't stand the heat, they better stay out of the kitchen.

Hiroshima and Nagasaki taught Japanese that they should surrender and never start wars again.

Nukes worked.

ham ass needs to learn the same lesson, one way or another.

"It is extremely inappropriate to mention Hiroshima and Nagasaki as a metaphor for swiftly ending a war,"

Nuking Hiroshima and Nagasaki swiftly ended a war that Japan started.

I fail to see the problem here ... maybe the "antinuclear" blabbermouths have guilty consciences ...

I think it’s the perfect metaphor. Are you familiar with Operation Starvation? Had not the A bombs ended the war, tens of millions of Japanese would have starved to death. Granted, Bibi’s plan only calls for starving 1 1/2 million but the goal is the same.

I concur with Walberg

Gaza AND Iran would be perfect cases for the use of Neutron weapons which the Israelis likely could already possess..
Didn’t they invent that technology in the first place? Use it .

"It is extremely inappropriate to mention Hiroshima and Nagasaki as a metaphor for swiftly ending a war," the antinuclear group said. Both cities were devastated by the 1945 U.S. atomic bombing - which swiftly ended the war.

"Mission Accomplished!"

“Walberg’s remarks at a local town hall meeting went viral after the video circulated on social media, drawing criticism from Democrats in the United States and Japan’s main opposition, the Constitutional Democratic Party of Japan, among others.”

Once you consider who the US Ambassador to Japan is, Rahm Emanuel, you know that this complaint originated from the DNC. That’s how things work now.

They should carefully consider those of us who think we still owe them one for Yoko Ono.

If they got the bomb first, would they have hesitated to use it on US cities?

Not a chance.

They started the war, we ended it.

The destruction of Tokyo was more total than the destruction of Hiroshima.

Hiroshima was doomed even with out the atom bomb

So sorry, Charlie. Nuclear bombs (or as G.W. Bush would say, “Nucular” bombs) are for squids.

Hiroshima today:

Update. Wonder what the group's thought are on this...

I witnessed unimaginable horrors in Japan's WW2 human experiment unit... I had to speak out for the sake of my children: Vet, 93, describes jars full of human bodies at notorious Unit 731 where POWs were dissected ALIVE and infected with plague WARNING: CONTAINS GRAPHIC CONTENT

I also wonder why the DM has gone with this story now.
