And Japan was not a very good neighbor to bomb Pearl Harbor.
Worse, they continued fighting when they knew they had lost the war.
FDR should have demanded that Russia declare war on Japan immediately. The war in Asia would have ended a lot sooner.
If Israel nuked Gaza, they would be harming themselves.
It's the drink that you don't pour
Now when you take one sip, you won't need anymore
You're small as a beetle or big as a whale
BOOM, atomic cocktail
It falls and splashes all around the place
When you see it coming, just grab your suitcase
It'll send you through the sky like airmail
BOOM, atomic cocktail
You push a button, turn the dial
Your work is done for miles and miles
When it hits, it's bound to shake
Because it feels just like an earthquake
That's the drink that you don't pour
When you take one sip, you won't need anymore
You're small as a beetle or big as a whale
BOOM, atomic cocktail
Many more Japinise would have died.
Thank God for Hiroshima. Thank you President Truman.
Hiroshima and Nagasaki taught Japanese that they should surrender and never start wars again.
Nukes worked.
ham ass needs to learn the same lesson, one way or another.
It didn’t end the war. You are okay with Churchill tricking FDR into costing many more U.S. lives?
Nuking Hiroshima and Nagasaki swiftly ended a war that Japan started.
I fail to see the problem here ... maybe the "antinuclear" blabbermouths have guilty consciences ...
That’s a bunch of anti-U.S. nonsense. And Hiroshima and Nagasaki taught Russia a lesson.
I think it’s the perfect metaphor. Are you familiar with Operation Starvation? Had not the A bombs ended the war, tens of millions of Japanese would have starved to death. Granted, Bibi’s plan only calls for starving 1 1/2 million but the goal is the same.
You need to study WWII history. The U.S. did far more damage to Japan through conventional bombing. We bombed almost every city except a few in the North and three historical ones into complete rubble.
I don’t see any contradiction in my statement and your facts. All are true.
FDR never should have allowed Russia to be given a pass on declaring war on Japan.
All of my family members were home from the war by then, but a few of my friends’ Dads were still in the Pacific and they were quite happy about not having to fight every single man, woman, and child on their own soil.
As for the hostages the Gazans kept, I’m sure they’d rather have died quickly than how they did.
The U.S. carried out a highly effective conventional bombing campaign against Japan.
Apparently you guys have never heard of the Doolittle Raid. I'm surprised. That's what would suit Israel.
I know Congressman are uneducated idiots, but I thought Freepers knew about WWWII.
“Many more Japinise would have died.”
P!ss on them, many more of our fathers would have died.
Too many were already dead because of Japanese belligerence.
Mu Grandfather was headed over there.
