All of my family members were home from the war by then, but a few of my friends’ Dads were still in the Pacific and they were quite happy about not having to fight every single man, woman, and child on their own soil.

As for the hostages the Gazans kept, I’m sure they’d rather have died quickly than how they did.

P!ss on them, many more of our fathers would have died.

Too many were already dead because of Japanese belligerence.
