Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., is planning to devote much of his energy in the remaining months of his term as Republican leader, as well as the next few years of his term, to ensuring Ukraine is supported as its war with Russia rages on.

"It may not be fashionable now, but I’m a Ronald Reagan Republican: peace through strength," the longtime Senate GOP leader said during a speech in Shelbyville, Kentucky, per local outlet the Kentucky Lantern.

McConnell has been a proponent of continued support for Ukraine, even after members of his party began to push back.

McConnell’s legacy is that of a sellout. He’s not going to be able to change that.

McConnell kicked out of the Army Guard Reserve for being a homo, married a Chicom, supports the Nazi party of Ukraine, got rich on bribery and communist money, and roadblocked Trump appointments his entire presidency, thinks permanent war for 25 years is normal. Helped turn repentant Russia from a friend, back into an enemy for several more decades.

Yeah... that’s got “Reagan” all over it.

DC despised Reagan. Hollywood mocked him, democrats acted like he was a dunce, and the CIA Establishment wing of the party foisted CIA Bush on him as a veep.

Now all the neocons and globalists in DC are devoted followers of Reagan. They all have their fantasy version of him. Reminds me of how idiots in Talladega Nights all had their own idiotic version of Jesus.

Losing on Ukraine would be the perfect way to have McConnell go to retirement.

Alas, it seems as though Mike Johnson is going to let this happen. But even if he opposed the Ukraine funding, I don’t see how Johnson could stop a privileged motion or a discharge petition which would pass with RINO and Dem votes.

While many of you will scream and yell, he’d be doing Trump a favor because it will not be good going into the election if Ukraine falls as a result of republican opposition.

Those screamers will refuse to see this point, since it conflicts with their blind furious ultracrepidarian hatred of O'Biden.

McConnell refused to put the Senate into recess for the entire Trump Presidency. This is unprecedented, especially against a president from your own party. But he DID put it into recess for Obama. This was solely to prevent Trump from making any recess appointments.

By my estimate, Trump never possessed more than 30% of the power a President normally has. And look what he did with that. With just full the support of his own party, god only knows what he could have accomplished.

McConnell is trash.

China Mitch. Trump did what he could putting the wife in at Transportation, and before Elaine Chao was Sec. of Labor in GWB. Embeds a long time. Very tiring to hear him try to hang his hat on Reagan. Reagan would have been at immediate contretemps against all this crapola, and certainly toasted jobama and obamaumao to crispy critters. Agree. No recess for 4 years, and let’s not forget no “Regular order in the House” for many more years back... with constant continuing resolutions and passing the bucks borrowed from FedReserve through pelosi to their uh... constituencies. McConnell could just as well have been Byrd of WV. And don’t forget his actions on election fraud— how he helped the fraud propagate through his protection of Haspel. Haspel and Rosenstein are now at the law firm in Atlanta that spawned many of this ilk—namely King & Spaulding. Where Wray came from. Olde dem machine clowns, deep in the statist world.

His legacy has nothing to do with Reagan.

He picked his side in 2017, and he’ll go down in instory
as one of three people who squandered to best chance in
30 years, to get this nation back on track.

He is and was an absolute fool.
