It’s another grift. The hydrogen comes from natural gas. So you going to use double the energy and “fossil” fuel to virtue signal?
Unless all the hydrogen is coming from hydrolysis from wind, solar, or nukes, this thing is a waste.
Hydrogen is a bitch to work with due to hydrogen metal embrittlement and the fact it leaks. However, it is a great fuel relative to weight and power produced. If all the problems can be solved, it will be Elon Musk’s engineers that do it. I wish him well.
There is no “water engine”. This is click bait for promoting hydrogen fuel cells.
Does it run on soft or hard water? Or does it need to be distilled water? LOL.
Elon Musk is an engineer. After designing and improving the first SpaceX rocket engine, the next generation rocket engine has 30% less parts. A 30% less chance of a part failure.
Musk has a motto: The best part is no part.
PS.....Re: water vapor as exhaust. The main ‘greenhouse gas’ is water vapor. If and when such a device is produced in large quantities, the control crazy, envirowackos will claim that water vapor is the newest Globull villain. Other wackos will claim we cannot ‘spare’ ANY of the Earth’s water for such a trivial thing as transportation.
FINALLY! An engine that can power a car and DOES NOT require energy. I’ll buy it!!!
Most geniuses lean towards being eccentric.
And that's okay by me.
Changes everything?
Interesting. That’s now at least 2 major manufacturers going in heavy to hydrogen (albeit from 2 different directions).
Major middle finger to government regulators and climate tyrants, because we all know how most hydrogen is produced, regardless of whether the end result is electricity or combustion.
Sounds a lot better than raping the earth for lithium
They just want us crammed together in large buildings where we can walk to work and be controlled.
It’s not a “water” engine. That’s to make us think that water can be a fuel.
Wasn’t there a guy years ago that developed a automobile motor than ran off water and he was allegedly murdered by the government?
This.🤔
Two very hard to beat critical problems.
But it does go BANG real good, if you like vertical acceleration.
