Members of the conservative House Freedom Caucus secured nearly $450 million in earmarks from recently passed government funding legislation, with the average member getting almost twice as much as far-left “Squad” members.
The taxpayer watchdog OpenTheBooks released a report this week cataloging the pork-barrel spending totals for more than a dozen Republican members who voted against the $1.66 trillion in fiscal year 2024 spending as part of two packages in March.
The report found 17 current Freedom Caucus members, as well as now-former member Randy Weber (R-Texas). secured $25 million per member — far higher than the $13.9 million that the average “Squad” member took in for their district projects, which OpenTheBooks noted in a separate report.

So the title is misinformation, since they can’t be fiscal conservatives.
The people playing the role of “Democrat” will stab the country in the back for the sheer joy of it. And for the thrill they get of having power over the peasants.
The people playing the role of “Republican” will stab the country in the back for money.
That’s not real money. They didn’t even score $1B.
That’s not real money. They didn’t even score $1B.
Printed, fiat money, and the massive debt it enables, courtesy of the Federal Reserve is like heroin - you will destroy yourself for it
A tiny bit for the home team compared to the $Billions slated for Z-Grifters.
When it comes to fiscal issues, the main difference between democrats and republicans is WHAT to spend debt money on.
Not HOW MUHC to spend.
And people snicker when someone says the Republic is nearing collapse.
Yall who keep saying there is a difference between Democrat and Republican - and especially of the supposed “Conservatives” - try explaining this. Because you are looking like a fool.
It’s gubmint money. It grows on trees.
“Spend all you want, we’ll make more!”
Pork gets a lot of attention, but isn’t where the the big dollars are allocated.
Nope, automatic spending(66% of the federal budget) from prior Congresses signed by Presidents, supported by interest groups and voters have decided on a suicidal economic course.
We should be electing chimpanzees to Congress, they’ll work cheaper and we can just retain the current system.
It's the Billions in "undocumented" I'm more worried about.
...the kind that covers funding for things like...Wuhan "research" ...that torpedo the global economy...and a sitting President.
Vote out the scumbag 17.
FReeprs who fret over losing the majority need to read this several times slowly.
This is what happens when money is created by whimsy at the Federal Reserve. It has no value outside the imagination of counterparties.
“I can end the deficit in about 5 minutes by having a single law passed. Like so: Any year there is a deficit in excess of 3% of GDP, all sitting members of Congress are not eligible for re-election.”
That would be a deficit of about $700B. We can’t even achieve that.
That 3% thing is from Warren Buffett
Before y’all get out your pitchforks, “do your own research”. Look at the stuff the “Squad” is earmarking.
