The Wabash Valley Seismic Zone is a threat that most people are unaware of.
This Guy was sitting in a stopped car and felt a sideways sway. Had thought it was an effect caused by a strong straight-line wind, but now, given this information...yeah..earthquake.
Had looked into the trees at the time and didn’t really see them swaying or twisting with high winds. Also, didn’t hear wind. So, might have realized it was an earthquake. But didn’t. Normalcy bias.

Remember since the time of those New Madrid quakes things on the earth have changed. The movement of the magnetic poles for one. The actual tilt of the earth and changed, even the rotation of the planet has slowed down. These things we don’t think about much unless you are an airline pilot or astronaut, but they adjust instrumentation every so often.
Also, if anything is going to happen in a big way, it won’t be on Monday. It will be weeks afterward.
Today was a bit of a warning. The one a week ago in Ohio was a warning. The plates are moving. The flurry of them in Missouri are a warning. Are they releasing stress? Pray that they are because then a ‘big’ one is far less likely.

Here it latest a lot longer. I’d say a good 20-30 seconds.
At first, I thought it was the school on the floor above me because it was too much to be a truck on the avenue. But then it kept going.
Oddly, I'm still a little shaken by it inside. I'm not shaking or anything, but I'm a little "off".
