'The launch vehicle, the booster, is activated, . . .I am pretty sure that a Harpoon Booster when "activated" it will make a very very loud noise and boost the missile to the necessary altitude. I think they need to revise the version of the news.

What? can’t they just unplug it? could swear there was a movie about this very thing happening. is it connected to AI? is it aware? would they even be honest about the REAL deal? Inquiring minds want to know.

Apparently, someone left a wooden shoe in the launcher.

“Cannot be disabled”. Unbelievable. They should at least have a patriot missile nearby to shoot the damn thing down if necessary. Or call a Russian hacker, it’ll cost, but they can hack into anything, and shut it down.

Yes.
I did just put Attack Plan R in the keywords for this post.

Harpoon has a ~70 nm range... The booster launches it from the ship. The missile has its own engine that kicks in after launch but the warhead needs to be activated to to work and it also needs a target to lock on to (radar) or it’s just a big azz bottle rocket.
