I was in Joberg 15 years ago. It was one armed compound after another. You couldn’t walk outside of them. It was never a world class city, whatever that means.

The Haitian revolution had nothing to do with “commies” What does that have to do with the article? Johannesburg is not in Haiti. Haiti is in South Africa. Saint Nelson Mandela of South Africa apartheid fame was a Commie.
