Rep. James Clyburn says that Presidents Barack Obama and Bill Clinton will start appearing more frequently on the campaign trail for Joe Biden after the trio headlined a fundraiser in New York last week.
The South Carolina congressman and Assistant Democratic Leader said the three presidents will come together to 'show defense of democracy' as Biden runs for reelection in 2024 against Donald Trump.
Outside the fundraiser with Biden, Obama and Clinton, pro-Palestine protesters descended to object to the current administration's stance on the Israel-Hamas war.

They should be showing unity as ex presidents against another ex president being persecuted

The truth is the GOP is right beside Obama and Biden. They are all working to end President Trump AND silence our voices. The only way out is to smash the illusion of the “two party system” and form a real opposition party, the MAGA party. nothing else short of war will get the job done.
Those two are needed to hit the road to “show unity” against Trump? To whom? Plugs must really be in a lot of trouble.
This must be the “unity” of which our Co-Mandarin Chief spake at his inauguration.
Everyone in the country already know that Biden is feeble minded and senile. Clinton and Obama campaigning for him simply reinforce the notion that he is too incompetent to run the country.
The democrat party is alll about party unity. They put party above everything.
They’re not running for Biden, they’re running for their lives.

I hope their association with Biden tarnishes their images (further) rather than boosting Biden’s.

It is desperation, but I don’t think it relates to Trump at all; they’re circling the Dem establishment wagons to deal with the RFK insurgency - as they believe his Veep pick showed he’s the flaming lib in the race, without Biden’s corruption or racism.
Prior to his VP pick, there was debate about which candidate would be worse impacted by JFK’s candidacy; since then, there has been no discussion (and the ex-presidents showed up in NYC together).
