Former Trump Defense Secretary Mark Esper on Friday said he is not voting for his old boss but left the door open to voting for President Biden.
“I’m not there yet,” Esper said after being asked by comedian Bill Maher on his HBO show, “Real Time with Bill Maher,” if he would vote for the current president. “I’m definitely not voting for [former President Trump], but I’m not there yet.”
Trump announced that he fired Esper from his position as Defense Secretary back in November 2020, following Biden being projected to win the 2020 presidential race. He has since become a critic of his former superior, calling him a “threat to democracy” on the recent third anniversary of the Jan. 6, 2021 Capitol riot.

Another ungrateful putz.
He’s “there.”
He must be impressed with Biden’s record on defense and national security, such as what happened with Afghanistan and having the borders wide open for foreign operatives to flow in undetected to “leave the door open”.
No surprise. Anyone with their testiculars (Jeff Foxworthy reference) tied to DC is not going to be pro-Trump. At least not publicly.
LOL
So this Deep State Moron supports Biden’s Afghan withdrawal. Figures. He always came across as a duplicitous slimy worm.
Unfortunately, DC is so full of duplicitous slimy worms it’s hard to find anyone with a spine.
Self preservation not to vote for Trump. He had to conspire to keep those troops in Syria hidden after the pull out order.
It really is this simple. Who do you want to lead your country?
A. A George Patton type. Tough and very competent. But also occasionally rude.
B. A senile Mr. Rogers type. Friendly enough, but also corrupt and incompetent.
Sorry, Mr. Esper and everyone else. These are your only two choices. There is no option “C” this year.
Yeah well maybe Esper is one of those drag queens types, or is going transgender. We know he has no ba##s
“another terrible pick”
Yes, and he is no Reagan conservative
Just one question to all those who claim that a DJT presidency would be “a threat to democracy.”
Do you have just one single, provable example of how a DJT presidency would be a threat to democracy?
As I recall, the first term of the (hopefully) two terms of DJT, there wasn’t the ignoring of SCOTUS rulings, no authorized weaponization of the DOJ, no spying on rival campaigns . . .
“Another terrible pick.”
______________
President Trump fired traitor Defense Secretary Mark Esper.
The Hill may as well be Media Matters.
He got his time in the spotlight and now his time to bite the hand that put him there.
Yeah, Trump fired him because Esper refused to use troops to quell protests that were usually turning into riots. Esper is a deep state pussy like Pence.
Doesn’t say much for his intelligence if he is voting for Biden, nor for his patriotism considering what Biden has done to this country.
Esper looks like a pure neocon.
Unfair. Mr. Rogers wasn't corrupt. And he was quite competent in his chosen profession of entertaining pre-schoolers.
Bless his heart
Great! Go vote for the Communist Party
