Reagan, starring Dennis Quaid as the 40th U.S. president, is officially coming to cinemas.
The movie has set an August 30 opening under a partnership with new distributor Showbiz Direct, according to a Deadline report. Showbiz Direct is headed by Kevin Mitchell as well as former Lionsgate distribution president Richie Fay and the former co-president of distributor Open Road, Scott Kennedy.
Reagan will be the first big-screen movie to dramatize the life of Ronald Reagan and is expected to cover its subject’s entire life — from his beginnings in Illinois, to his career as a Hollywood actor, and ultimately his rise in politics.

The Contras deserved those weapons. They were fighting commies.
Dennis Quaid is not a bleeding heart libtard either. I watched an interview with him and Tucker and he’s worried about the solar storms and a Carrington event and the grid going down.
Dennis’s general appearance shows he can portray a quality Reagan. Randy - having played LBJ - not to mention his types of character portrayals, is fit for LBJ but not the erudite Ronald Reagan. Trust me, Dennis rather than Randy is the way to go for the most believable Reagan.
I just can’t see this film, as a dramatization, doing justice to President Reagan’s amazing life and accomplishments.
A really well-made documentary film would have been a better choice by these filmmakers.
I’m told that I knew Randy Quaid, Dennis also but the was too young and normal for any notice.
Give it up non-USA citizen Zeeper. Go away.
while it shouldn’t be done but Randy doing a Cousin Eddy version of Reagan in a SNL type of skit could be a laugh.
How old are you? Those of us who lived during the Cold War, and remember the Cuban Missile Crisis where everyone was trying to build a Fallout Shelter in their back yards, understand that The Soviet Union hasn't existed for thirty two years.
You need to grow up and stop trying to perpetuate a Cold War we already won long ago. As Pogo said, “We Have Met the Enemy and He Is Us.” It is certainly not the Russians no matter what kind of voodoo hex spell you try to concoct.
” Dennis Quaid and Jon Voight both lean to the Right, so this SHOULD be a solid effort.”
So does Robert Davi who plays Brezhnev .
