Former Rep. Liz Cheney (R-Wyo.) took aim at former President Trump for launching an initiative to sell Bibles on Tuesday and encouraged him to read what the Bible says about adultery.
“Happy Holy Week, Donald. Instead of selling Bibles, you should probably buy one,” Cheney wrote in a post on X, the platform formerly known as Twitter, in response to a screenshot of Trump’s Bible pitch on Truth Social.
“And read it, including Exodus 20:14,” Cheney added, referring to the verse that commands, “Thou shalt not commit adultery.”
In his latest effort to raise funds, Trump pitched his “God Bless USA” Bibles, which he is selling in partnership with country musician Lee Greenwood, ahead of Good Friday and Easter Sunday.

Trump is taking advantage of Christians who believe that God has always used flawed humans like Trump for his purposes. As P.T. Barnum famously said, “There’s a sucker born every minute.”
I suggest she read the passage of the woman at the well.
I suggest Liz read the verses in Leviticus that condemn homosexuals (her sister is one).

Ms. Cheney, while wishing for the gift of Grace from the Lord, cannot give the gift of grace to her fellow man.
Unfortunately, the rules apply to everyone but only the faithful consider it a responsibility to maintain to our Father and each other. Outside of the faithful, what is sin in our lives is meaningless to them.
When they engage on this level, I ask what they call sin. The equivocation begins there.

There is no harm in more people buying a King James Bible, especially if a few actually read it and come to a saving faith in Jesus Christ. More real, bible-believing Christians is exactly what this nation and this world needs so the light of the Gospel may shine forth.

St. Paul points out in Romans: "For all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God.” (Romans 3:23)"
St. Paul proclaimed God's saving grace. Salvation is not of works but of God's freely given grace through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. No man can be good enough in God's eyes through his efforts. Not me, you, or Donald Trump or King David. We are all sinners.
God reads our heart and not the externals. David repented and sought God's forgiveness and He used David mightily for His purposes.
None of us are 'perfect' and without sin. But we can reconcile with Him and seek his forgiveness and God can and will use us even in our human imperfections.

There is no reason God can't use Trump as well like David if he meets His purposes and is chosen for His task. God has done it many times before. The Bible is full of examples of His Grace and Mercy to those who belong to Him.
