Ship was probably moving slow, so there would be a lot of noise from the initial contact, well before the bridge came down

But the weather was good - clear, low wind, calm waters - and the ship had a huge gap under the bridge that they could have passed thru ... yet still hit the support ...

or someone saw a large ship slowly approaching the bridge supports and took out their phone and clicked video...as we all hope we would in a similar situation.

IIRC, Bin Laden had quite a library of videos of “events”.

At the beginning of the clip, the ship had already hit the bridge and was on fire. They were recording the burning ship.

It looks like a recording of the original video. The original video was a webcam.
