We use Rukert Terminals and Terminal Corp are two of the port facilities we use.
However, we also use Tradepoint which is on Sparrows Point. South of the bridge collapse. So, those facilities are open to traffic.
This is really where we need the federal government to step in with EXECTUTIVE ORDERS.

Todays construction is not like years past. To many beauracrats and regulators,it will take 3 months to clear a shipping lane, anoth 6 for impact studies maybe 1 yr to design and bid and 3 years to build it.
We are looking at more like 4 to 5 years not 2 to 3.

Right, that’s ‘leaving Singapore heading for Sri Lanka’. Does that mean the registry IS Singapore?

We do not know what or if there were any issues that led up to the ship being off course. One simply emergency can pyramid in several others leading to one major occurrence which complete renders any ship control impossible.
incoming reports show there WERE issues beforehand and they decided to proceed anyway.

I wondered if any of the terminals were on the right side of the bridge to remain open. I’ve crossed it a few times but not enough to be really fluent in the area.

Yep. Any way you look at it, this is a disaster, both short and long term.
I had an idea a little earlier. Limit the I-895 tunnel (also called the Old Harbor Tunnel) to commercial vehicles only (except HAZMAT) for the duration. That might relieve some stress. Maybe the Express lanes North of Baltimore could also be Commercial only.

The channel is blocked. Nothing of any size is going in or out of Baltimore Harbor for quite a while.Excellent military maneuver the collapse blocked the entire width of the channel. If you intend to hamper the enemy's shipping routes, it could not have been done to better effect with the container vessel placed anywhere else. Yes. This was deliberate, with a lot of pre-planning.
