ISIS had a huge Russian and Central Asian contingent in its heyday.
About one out of every five Russian citizens is Muslim, but that population is not evenly distributed either geographically or socioeconomically. In cities, a lot of taxi drivers and hard-luck laborers have names like Magomedov and Ismailov, indicative of Muslim ancestry....
The center of geographic gravity of Islam in Russia is the Northern Caucasus, the site of domestic strife and bloodshed in a series of episodes going back centuries. Some groups around Dagestan and Chechnya have become proficient guerrilla warriors, and Putin perfected his own harsh methods on them during the Chechen Wars of the 1990s and 2000s. Those wars ended with a decisive Russian victory and the installation of micro-Putins, such as Kadyrov ...
The rise of ISIS was useful for Russia, which could imagine no better destination for its domestic jihadists than a faraway conflict with a conveniently high mortality rate. Anyone so inclined could go to Iraq or Syria with Moscow’s tacit blessing. That is one reason the number of ISIS members coming from Russia was so high: They were more or less permitted to go, so that they would self-detonate or run into machine-gun fire there, rather than make trouble within Russia’s borders. Many of those who went are now dead, as hoped. Some are not, and many of those have not lost their fervor. They just need a new object for it.
The connection between Russia and ISIS is, in other words, overdetermined. The cruelty of the killing and even the choice of venue—a concert hall—are all awfully familiar to anyone acquainted with jihadism in Russia. What comes next will be familiar too. The horrific videos and claims of responsibility have already arrived. Next will be a brutal reply from the Russian state....

Margarita Simonyan: We already know the names of the performers.
We have already seen their faces and know that they sing during interrogations. (We do not publish it so as not to interfere with the investigation).
And immediately it becomes obvious why yesterday the American media were shouting in chorus that it was ISIS.
Because it’s not ISIS. It’s just that the performers are chosen so that you can convince the dim-witted world community that ISIS.
Elementary sleight of hand. The level of the station thimble.
So that’s it. This is not ISIS at all. These are Ukrainians.
And the fact that yesterday, even before the arrests, before the persons and surnames of the perpetrators, Western special services began to convince the population that this was ISIS - and set fire to the hat on this thief.
This is not ISIS. This is a well-coordinated team of several other, also widely known, abbreviations.
I am publishing the full version of the ghoul’s interrogation. Half a million rubles, ‘to shoot people of any kind.’

You get a tinfoil hat too.
You’re wrong as usual. Don’t you shills ever give up?
Fine, ignore ISIS and leave all those Russian cities undefended
Then don’t be surprised when ISIS commits even more bombings
You seem to be confused there, little feller.
It’s not our problem.
If you’re SOooooo Conceeeeeeerned, then you go do something about it, eh?
Hoser.
Exactly. This has every earmark of yet another an idiotic and evil CIA plan.
Ukraine is losing. DC and London decide to open a second front to take pressure off the nazis.
They start suggesting danger in Moscow and gone loud public warnings.
With unaccounted billions sloshing around, they hire someone jihadis who hire someone who hired some low IQ gunman.
Attack goes off, and DC floods the media with “Isis did it”. Would someone claiming to speak for Isis release a statement for a huge payment? You bet.
Russia is supposed to now start a revenge war in the Caucuses like the old Chechen war.
That was the plan. Instead, Russia will strike some very hard blows at Ukraine, maybe target decision centers, the Capitol building, maybe even Z himself.
This was just another CIA op. But Russia plays chess, not checkers like Langley.
—”Canadian Intelligence helped Shamima Begum join ISIS...”
Not exactly.
You may want to review the link and edit your post.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shamima_Begum
A Canadian intelligence operative is the correct version of the story as reported on my blog with sources.
Justin Trudeau ordered an investigation over the matter as was reported at the time by BBC-CBC.
That was a clear act of terrorism against a civilian target. The US has no choice but to disavow any part of this or look like a hypocrite. The Ukies have become full fledged terrorists after this idiotic stunt.
Your noise and garbage make no sense.
And then they tell you no conspiracy theories are needed. It was ISIS. We told you so and would we lie?
A reminder of past horrors in Russia courtesy of Muslim (Chenchen) terrorists.

You’re gonna need more foil.
” Suddenly, right after the Russian event, ISIS is a big threat again... “
No kidding !
Regime Media (as well as Zeepers, Glowies, and NeoCons) are very anxious that we all absolutely believe this attack was ISIS.
They are all at it with the same messaging. The Atlantic, Newsweek, NYT, Wash Post, Financial Times, BBC - all with exactly the same story.
One Question: The border has been open for four hears. Since “ISIS” supposedly hates America, why haven’t they come across and done something ?
The fact this story appears in The Atlantic essentially seals CIA involvement in the attack. Somebody really, really wants WWIII.
“The rise of ISIS was useful for Russia, which could imagine no better destination for its domestic jihadists than a faraway conflict with a conveniently high mortality rate. “
After viciously annoying the Muslims in Chechnia, Putin proceeded to bother the Muslims in Crimea and their friends in Turkey. As if that plus the previous Syrian events were not enough, Putin then advanced the program of mostly enlisting troops to fight in Ukraine who were not from the core Russian areas around Moscow and St. Petersburg. Now he is using many of them to perform the conveniently mortal “meat waves” which probably kill a high number of soldier of Muslim heritage, relative to those of Orthodox background.
Too true.
Russia's total population is circa 145 million, of whom around 100 million are Russian-Russians and the remainder are dozens of different ethnicities, and of them, most are Muslims.
This means that non-Russian Russians number about the same as Ukrainians, suggesting that Vlad the Invader could conceivably fight his War in Ukraine to the last non-Russian, without ever inconveniencing, or threatening, his Russian-Russian political base.
Unless... unless... non-Russian Russians somehow figured out that their interests were not being served by the Russians' government in Moscow.
What are the chances of that?
What happened at Moscow's Crocus City Hall?
No doubt, that's just what Vlad the Invader fears the most -- that about 40 million non-Russian Russians (mostly Muslims) would team up with maybe 40 million Ukrainians to oppose the 100 million Russians who have dominated Moscow and St. Petersburg for centuries.
As of our own CIA... well... the US government did try to warn Vlad the Invader, twice beforehand that something bad was coming.
What did Vlad do about the warnings?
He called them western threats and blackmail and ignored them.
What about Ukrainians?
So far, there's no evidence linking Ukrainians to the Isis-KP attack, though it obviously serves Russians' purposes to make the link anyway, regardless of evidence or lack of evidence.
Russians claim the terrorists were sponsored by Ukraine and tried to flee to Ukraine, however, the actual place of their capture was near Belarus, and their vehicle's license plates were Belarusian, so the alleged link to Ukraine is nonexistent.
