NAIROBI, March 18. /TASS/. The president of Niger’s National Council for the Safeguard of the Homeland, General Abdourahamane Tchiani, has congratulated Russian President Vladimir Putin on his re-election, the Nigerien Press Agency reported.
The US and UK are increasingly isolated from the world’s people, and this need not be so.
Niger is run by a military junta, and Tchiani is the de facto dictator.
This may or may not be a good thing for Niger, given the local circumstances, it might be the best of many bad options, but it certainly isnt ideologically consistent with US society of whatever faction.
