US Military Operations Across the Sahel Are at Risk After Niger Ends Cooperation

The United States scrambled on Sunday to assess the future of its counterterrorism operations in the Sahel after Niger's junta said it was ending its yearslong military cooperation with Washington following a visit by top U.S. officials.

The U.S. military has hundreds of troops stationed at a major airbase in northern Niger that deploys flights over the vast Sahel region — south of the Sahara Desert — where jihadi groups linked to al-Qaida and the Islamic State group operate.

Top U.S. envoy Molly Phee returned to the capital, Niamey, this week to meet with senior government officials, accompanied by Marine Gen. Michael Langley, head of the U.S. military’s African Command. She had previously visited in December, while acting Deputy Secretary of State Victoria Nuland traveled to the country in August.

Potato Joe and his band of communist losers and race hustlers are making friends all over. It is almost as if they want the whole world to attack us.

“.. Nigerians do not trust Americans,..”

I have often heard that for the past several years. Which is why the African nations are lining up with BRIC being pushed by China, India and Russia. One item being promoted is they are dropping the US dollar as reserve currency which should be of some concern to our monetary gurus.

"But she also said the U.S. had warned Niamey against forging closer ties with Russia."

There we go again, always minding everyone else's own business.

Biden is doing his best to destroy our networks of cooperation.

Just one more avenue of isolating the US and setting us up
for a very tough road ahead.

Biden’s wrecking crew isn’t missing a step.

How the US exports inflation 101
When the supply of US dollars increases, imports to the US become more expensive. Many developing economies need to sell to the massive US consumer market, so these countries must devalue their own currencies to stay competitive. This causes inflation in developing economies.
Can you say “BRICS”? I know you could!
I thought we had more time before the loss of reserve currency. (10yr?)

I have also read that a common topic is that the US a “war monger” always seeking to stir up trouble and start wars. I believe much of the anti-American sentiment is being pushed by Russia and China.

It’s easy to see how it is believed. Unfortunately, we have earned the title.

Biden is doing his best to destroy our networks of cooperation.

Agree, and he's doing it if the Foreign Nations involved won't or can't pay bribes, and won't elevate Degenerates in their society.

The US could keep positive relationships by butting out and being a good free market neighbor.

If they’re still operative in Africa, our Ambassadors should get back to America before they are sent back on a 2X4.

Thanks for those additional points on inflation.

Many nations need to produce and sell natural resources to support and employ their people.

Niger has maybe 5% of the world's Uranium. France maneuvered insiders to get this cheap, that's why they got kicked out.
