“Nobody” should go to jail for “smoking weed,” Vice President Kamala Harris said Friday, despite having prosecuted nearly 2,000 cases of marijuana possession, cultivation, or sale as California’s attorney general.
Harris’s public flip-flop is likely due to the politics of a difficult reelection campaign in which the Biden-Harris ticket is losing to former President Donald Trump in 75 percent of 2024 swing states, polling shows.
Harris condemned prosecuting those who smoke flowers while speaking at a roundtable event about cannabis reform with musician Fat Joe and Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear (D).

Not for nothing is the current person impersonating a Vice President known by Hispanics as “Que mala” Harris. The phrase “Que mala” may be freely translated as “How AWFUL”, a fitting description.
She is half Tamil, of the people of the nation of India, and one-eighth black Jamaican, the rest being of Caucasian persuasion, yet she comes off as being “black”? And her upbringing was almost completely devoid of any understanding of the wider culture of the United States, its customs and history, as she spent her formative years residing in Canada with her mother. Now, the Canadian heritage is highly respectable, if different from the USA, but she is such a scofflaw and skeptic that perhaps she does not understand Canada either.
A weed smoking nation is a dead nation.

The number of people sentenced to jail in the USA for ONLY smoking marijuana is probably zero.
People in jail for smoking marijuana:
(1) Pleaded down from a more serious charge.
(2) Or - Violated parole or probation.
