Never thought anything would surpass NYC in the 70s and 80s. I’d drive my 72 Maverick from Queens into the City. I’d park in the garment district. Leave my No Radio Sign on the dash and leave the car unlocked. It was never bothered but then again 72 Mav was hardly a target. Guess I was wrong about some city being worse.

I read a story a few years ago about car break-ins in Europe. Improved car security systems were supposedly making criminals angry, and the article said that violent home invasions and rapes had increased. The problem may have spread to Canada.

Just leave the keys in the ignition and the car door open so the thieves can steal your car with little damage or trouble. And take your front house door off the hinges to prevent damaging break-ins. Place your debit and credit cards and all your cash on the entryway table. That should appease them.
