Don’t be silly. He was a dumbass from day 1. Everyone knew it in 1976. We were just pissed about Reagan. But no one was pissed enough to vote for the Peanut Man.

I turned 18 in 1976. I proudly supported Ronald Reagan way back then.

He was the last DemoRat presidential candidate I supported however was very glad Reagan won in 1980.

I considered voting for Carter but I believe in the end I voted for Ford. I am not positive as I went back and forth. Carter was a young peanut farmer from the South and I liked his smile. :-) But I was glad to see him go in 1980.

Anyway that’s ancient history. I wish him well now and hope he makes it to 100.
