Republican strategist Karl Rove said former President Trump’s campaign “ought to be concerned” about unifying the Republican party, pointing to robust support for Republican candidate Nikki Haley’s candidacy on Super Tuesday.
Rove called Super Tuesday a “strong night for Donald Trump” in an interview on Fox News, and described the former president’s campaign estimation that he would win a sufficient number of delegates to clinch the GOP nomination by later this month as “probably accurate.”
“Having said that, the high command of Team Trump ought to be concerned about unifying the Republican Party,” added Rove, a former top aide to former President George W. Bush.
His comments came just before Trump gave remarks Tuesday evening, the day before sources told The Hill that Haley would suspend her campaign following significant losses in the early primary contests.

His wisdom is so conventional.
Just for the anecdote:
I remember the days when Rove was treated like a God by everyone here on Free Republic.
Things change.
Rove may be a candidate to take over the cherished David Gergen chair of mediocre media punditry.
Lately Brit Hume has also been vying for that honor.
and Haley has finally quit her abysmal campaign
she seemed to have some smarts before her campaign but she ran it like a mud-slinging fight against Trump. NOT the thing to do politically speaking...and it totally distracts from any discussion of substantive issues too
it is good she’s out!
The “robust support” for Haley was from democrats who crossed over in a left-wing version of Rush’s Operation Chaos.
It was nice to see Kove get politically screwed last night in Texas.
The idea of Trump unifying Republicans is ridiculous imo. He called the FL Gov “Desanctimonious” and former SC Gov Haley “Birdbrain”. Trump is a divider, not a uniter imo. His name-calling his rivals reveals who he is. Dems will help make him the nominee and he’ll lose even bigger. Then he’ll flash his great smile and look proud as punch.
Trump is a divider, not a uniter imo.
The point of division and unification is the same.
Same with Trump, (not that he is Jesus) the point of division and unification is MAGA. I am ok with the process, you only see the one side.
Ok. To DYE
He had it all along. Bush was a libtard in conservative drag.
Someone send this azz an aneurysm.
so why should i pay attention to a canned ham?
Rove is the very definition of a concern troll.
The fumes from Rove’s whiteboard markers must have caused his TDS to metastasize.
Why even post what Rove says??? Rove’s been irrelevant since 2016 when Trump was running for Presdient ! ! !
Your opinion is the same as Rove’s. Uniting with RINOs is like submitting to RATs with bipartisanship.
Yes they do. Next........................
Rove and Bush’s people lost in Texas according to an interview I heard with Ken Paxton.
He’s so far off the hook, he should change his name to
Rave. The guy was never one with us.
FoxNews or whoever is airing his screeds today, needs to
come into this decade with the rest of us. (more like
this decade and a half)
Ah, headline bait.
“Having said that, the high command of Team Trump ought to be concerned about unifying the Republican Party,”
Maybe he said other things, but here we just have a headline trying to get Republicans fighting each other over takes on the obvious.
