I grew up in a majority black town and it was very safe during segregation
Which btw really only meant little intermarriage and whites had not yet adopted vulgarity and coarseness to the level of today much of which came from the black community

What could possibly be the cause of spring break problems. It’s a mystery.
I currently live in a central Illinois university town. Spring breaks have coincided with St. Patrick dates, so the bar owners came up with an unofficial St. Patricks celebration the week or so before spring break. Students were getting wasted before noon and a few people were falling to their deaths off apartment balconies, etc. The community said enough of this and shut it down some 20 years ago.
Look at Europe now and draw your own conclusions.
