President Joe Biden has broken his pledge to deliver a deal for Hamas to release Israeli hostages by Monday, March 4 — a pledge he made a week before on the eve of the Michigan presidential primary, where he faced a large protest vote.
As Breitbart News reported on February 27:
President Joe Biden hopes for a ceasefire “by next Monday” in the Israel-Hamas war, pausing to offer his reflections while enjoying another much-favored ice cream break.
His comments, made after taping an appearance with talk show host Seth Meyers, followed reports of some progress reached in ongoing negotiations involving Israel and Hamas terrorist representatives in Qatar.

Be patient
There’s still 40 more Mondays this year
And maybe it’s a Monday next year
Dog ate his homework...and a few Secret Service Agents too.
Bibi is done with taterhead.....and when all is said and done THAT is who has the last say in regards to a cease fire.....not some doddering old man deep in mental decline.
“hopes for a ceasefire”
...yeah. Not “iron clad” for sure. I don’t believe a true leader like Trump or Reagan would’ve left everybody dangling with “I hope...”
Really? It’s only a little after 9AM. Joe’s got until he calls a “lid” on the day...around lunchtime or so.
I think that many hostages have died.
He got the century wrong.
He was talking about a ceasefire with the Ottoman Empire.
Lol.
“Hopes for a ceasefire on Monday” is like the sign in the bar room: “free beer tomorrow.”
I believe many have died, BUT there are still many remaining in Khan Unis and Rafah. Hence, the reason WHY the IDF has not continued its advances into these areas of southern Gaza.
The IDF basically has this area surrounded. They stopped advancing like they had been. They believe the remaining hostages are being held in the tunnels as human shields protecting Sinwar. The last remaining Hamas leader that has not been “neutralized”.
The other reason is that the IDF is not supposed to put more than X amount of soldiers into the border area of Rafah per their agreement with Egypt. Going back to their peace agreement from 30+ years ago.
Make no mistake, Egypt wants Hamas dead too. They hate them. Which is why they would not allow ANY refugees into the Sinai.
Telegraphing a specific date gives the other side cover to not make it & use it to get more concessions.
