Mike Tyson calls out Joe Biden.
Legendary boxer Mike Tyson has long been an advocate for cannabis and now owns a cannabis company called “Tyson 2.0.” As a result, he’s now calling out United States President Joe Biden for failing to uphold his campaign promise to release incarcerated marijuana offenders.
In a recent letter to Joe Bide and the White House, Mike Tyson called on the president to offer clemency to all those incarcerated on charges related to marijuana.
“I write in support of granting clemency to marijuana offenders still incarcerated in federal prison and restoring civil rights to those haunted by a federal marijuana conviction,” Tyson said in his letter according to Fox News.
Tyson claims that he has public opinion on his side in this matter and calls for anyone who continues to be incarcerated for on charges related to marijuana to be released.
“Marijuana should not be a crime. Americans today reject marijuana prohibition in public opinion polls and through legalization efforts across the nation. The U.S. government should no longer use marijuana as a reason to lock people up. The first step is to release the remaining people incarcerated federally under America’s war on marijuana and to wipe the slate clean for those convicted of federal marijuana offenses,” Tyson said.
It’s a pretty bold message, and it led to a lot of reactions on social media.
“The war on marijuana is over, Mr. President, as seen in legalization efforts across the nation and in polls showing that most Americans oppose marijuana prohibition. Through a categorical clemency grant, you can declare an end to federal warfare on our own people and mark the beginning of a new era of peace and prosperity,” Tyson’s letter ends.
Biden did not immediately respond to the letter.
I didn’t imagine reading this in 1988…
Marijuana use and possession WERE crimes at the time of their conviction. Let them complete their sentences.

Hey Mike, take ‘em behind the barn.
Fake news. The man can’t write.
Joe Biden is going to challenge Tyson to a push up contest.
And I’m sure big Mike conceived and penned this statement all on his own. 😏
Someone please explain to Mike that the ONLY people in federal prison for marijuana charges are:
(1) People who pleaded down from a more serious felony.
(2) People with prior felony convictions.
(3) People who violated the terms of their parole or probation.
(4) People involved in organized crime.
In calligraphy as well.
I saw a video of him hitting a heavy bag last year.
He is still scary at 58 years old.
“still scary at 58...”
I wouldn’t want to tangle with him at 88!
I have no doubt that he did. He’s a very street smart and school of hard knocks smart guy. I’ll take that over the educated idiots coming out college all day long -
“Marijuana use and possession WERE crimes at the time of their conviction. Let them complete their sentences.”...........
Just a question to you....... if the law has been changed, should those jailed by the old laws be allowed to judged by the new laws?
It all hinges on what the law was at the time of the offense. If that’s what the law was at the time, then that’s what they are judged by.

Is Iron Mike now Reefer Mike?
Did you see the video of Tyson beating that annoying punk on the jetliner?

Should "educators" be allowed to villainize heroic people of history because of changed social values over time? Of course not but try they do.
In this case Tyson has a point beyond the obvious hypocrisy happening - Biden's masters giving free reign to the drug/human smuggling cartels.
In some cases where "old laws" are twisted around to devise life-destroying draconian punishments for misdemeanors (J6ers!) we absolutely require re-trials for those poor kangarooed people.
Frankly we have the largest amount of prisoners on the planet for the sole purpose of feeding a combined government/privately run incarceration system that profits while stupid people scooped up into it's clutches learn to be better criminals - when they would have continued being regular citizens.
Between one end and the other 'the House always wins'.
I’m guessing the guy wasn’t sober…
I saw an interview with him recently.
He was remarkably lucid for a former heavyweight champion dopehead.
I tend to agree with Zeestephen but would certainly not consider it a fact.
The real problem with the federal prohibition is the banking. The cash is stored in heavily armed warehouses and hard assets. Ordinary people are paying more for homes as they’re being forced to compete against legalized drug dealers. In a real world, the banks would be after deposit accounts and not de facto government.
ftr I don’t like them lighting my tax dollars on fire in Ukraine or imprisoning potheads. It’s amazing to me-fiscal conservatives have no issue spending $50K/yr these idiots-which although has prob ceased at the federal level has not ceased in certain states.
That’s what I’m talkin’ about!
Yea it takes a special type of retard to taunt Mike Tyson trapped inside a aluminum cylinder..
