What a beautiful graphic!
Let me just say we're here in Southern Oklahoma. The fires that happened Wednesday were up in Northwest Oklahoma and the Northeast Texas Panhandle. We didn't have any kind of fire activity in our area. I think all we had was just a little bit of wind.
Our thoughts and prayer are with everyone affected by those fires on Wednesday.
We did get to hang out at Chisolm Trail Park yesterday. Gizmo dragged me through the bushes and tired me out early, but, we did have fun out there even though it was cloudy and dreary.
Pics.....
How's everyone doing this morning?
Well, sorry about that. I just clicked on to it to see if I forgot to insert the link, and it worked for me. Maybe you’re blocking stuff from Microsoft somehow. There was a video with some chilling footage of the damage done.
I’m so glad that your friends didn’t lose their home. I haven’t heard from any of the people I know, today, who have loved ones in that area to know how they are.
Good morning, ML...((HUGS))...have you and your sister done some singing evenings?
Hope you and Tippy enjoyed your outings.
Howdy, E.G.C. ((HUGZ))
I can see Gizmo had a good time dragging you around yesterday. LOL
I hope your luck continues regarding fires. It’s been awfully dry there.
The link goes to the home page and there are several news items there. Just not one about the fire. They keep changing them.
We were glad they didn’t lose their home too. It was a very close call.
The wind wasn’t blowing as hard as this week’s but it was hard enough to make it difficult to get the fire under control and put out.
I love a good bonfire but do NOT like wildfires.
I hear ya. Wildfires are just scary. You feel totally out of control of everything.
As with most things with nature, we ARE pretty much out of control. With the combination of a long dry spell and those horrid winds this week, there wasn’t much hope of stopping these fires. Heavy rain is what’s needed and there just isn’t any on the way. The situation just sux all ‘round.
Since you don’t want it .....
.... I’ll take it. :-)
Yes, it’s a classic example of a “Perfect Storm”. There is no telling how much land is going to be burned before they can get it under control. It requires a huge amount of manpower, and fire fighters are coming from all over the state to help.
WooooooHoooooo!!
I sure wasn’t paying attention. LOL!
A Perfect Storm is exactly what it is. I imagine firefighters from other states will start heading there soon to help now that everyone realizes how huge it is.
And it’s not the only big fire.
Must have been a good show. LOL
Good morning, E...((HUGS))...sounds like you were between fires...glad your area hasn’t had any problems.
Gizmo sure did get around yesterday at Chisolm Trail Park. He had had things to do and places to go.
You boys have a fun Friday, and stay safe.
Thanks, unique.
radu.....#50!!
You’re still awake? I thought you might have gone to bed a little early tonight. :-)
No, sadly it’s not. The whole country...except maybe California right now...needs rain. They need to share! I do feel bad about all that snow they’re getting.
Yeah...it’s a good show and it’s longer than I thought. Guess I’d better go. Gotta get rested up for the tunes tomorrow night. If I just knew what I wanted to do. LOL! See ya then!
I saw that CA is getting clobbered with ANOTHER big storm. They’ve had a rough time of it over there lately.
We finally got caught up on rain enough to be out of drought conditions, barely. Getting some rain now from the system that was at your house last night.
I won’t be here tomorrow night. I’m on “museum schedule” since I have to get up at the crack of dawn Saturday to head up there to work. The computer goes off at suppertime and stays off or I’ll be up all night. Catch ya Saturday night.
