President Biden faced his most significant challenge in Michigan from those opposed to his handling of the Israel-Hamas war. Republican infighting in the state did not involve Donald J. Trump, who coasted to victory.

FYI…..you first check on a form which party you’re voting for, then you get the party ballot. Any Dem could be voting for Haley…no point in voting for Biden.

The votes for Haley are bogus imho.

> Bush family greatly saddened that Trump can’t be stopped. <

You can bet they’ll be working behind the scenes to elect Biden in November. (Or Newsom or Michelle if Biden is pushed aside.)

The DNC successfully froze out and isolated RFK Jr. It would have been interesting to see the D results had he been on the ballot.

It is very easy to calculate the number of Democrats or Democrat leaning Independents who voted for Haley in any of these primaries.

Polling data of Republicans and Republican leaning Independents as well as actual results of primaries to date are very consistent.

75% Trump 25% Haley—any region of the country, give or take a couple of points (except Texas Where President Trump is over 80% support in the polling).

Any Haley number above 25% is Democrats or Democratic leaning voters.

Right now Haley is showing 27.4% in Michigan—but NYT is projecting she may drop a point or two from that:

https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2024/02/27/us/elections/results-michigan-republican-presidential-primary.html

That means very few Democrats/Democratic leaning Independents voted for her in Michigan.

The reason for that if that the Biden folks pushed to get decent Democratic turnout because they were terrified the Muslim protest vote could embarrass them.

That is an excellent point. If they hadn’t frozen out, and he was still in the race, I suspect he would get a much larger percentage of the vote they were comfortable with.

When discussing the possibility of “uncommitted” for the Dems getting the top vote in Michigan, a talker on WJR asked “Who would come out to be the spokesperson to celebrate uncommitted’s victory”.

Roughly 300,000 more Republicans voted in the Michigan primary then Democrats voted in the same primary.

As of now with over 99% of the vote in Michigan counted Trump won by some +138,000 votes total, or some 10% of the state’s population including babies, children, teens, adults, all races, illegals etc.

That’s quite a SLAUGHTER.

Birdbrain staff meeting this morning:

“We have to go with the nuclear option at this point.”

“What is that?”

“We are going to have the change the rules at the Republican Convention?”

“What do you propose?”

“The loser of the most primaries should be awarded the nomination. That way disaffected voters are represented by our nominee.”

“Brilliant. I will write it up for your next speech.”

“We will need one Democrat to support the idea.”

“Let us call Marianne Williamson.”

“Marianne. Good morning. This is Nikki.”

“Nikki, don’t say a word. I already know about your brilliant idea. I learned about it last night while meditating and consulting the Akashic Records. Count me in.”

;-)

Around here, I have a hard time believing that 1 in 4 Republicans voted for Haley.

The numbers are the numbers.

She spent 70 million dollars on this race.

If Christie had 70 million dollars he would have gotten a quarter of the vote.

Interesting language, Biden “confronts” protest votes.

What does that even mean? How do you “confront” a vote? Count every vote. This is what democracy looks like.

Maybe the New York Times is switching to AI?
