COLLEGE STATION, Texas (KBTX) - The Marine One helicopter used by President George H.W. Bush will arrive at its permanent home next week.
It will be housed in the new Marine One/4141 Locomotive Pavilion at the George H.W. Bush Presidential Library & Museum.
The Marine One helicopter was flown frequently by President Bush and First Lady Barbara Bush during their time in the White House.
The massive 72-foot aircraft is scheduled to arrive in College Station on Tuesday, February 27. It will be transported by a large truck. A crane will be used to lift the helicopter from the truck and into its new home.
The Marine One/4141 Locomotive Pavilion is under construction and not yet open to the public. The grand opening will be in June.

I hope the museum paid for it - at least the scrap value, if not more.
Look at me, I am so important, I have my helicopter and even my used underware on display.
WTH. Show us you lived Jesus. Who cares about crap.
Exactly. They are their own gods. I believe this crap didn’t start until Hoover and has continued since then. Two of the greatest presidents, Washington and Lincoln, who should be honored as such, well, appeared more humble so to speak. What a sad state of affairs. Really.
Were did they leave Biden and who’s going to pick him up?
I seriously doubt that President Bush and Mrs. Bush flew that helicopter. I suspect a Marine pilot flew it and the President and wife rode in it.
Nobody cares look at this crap pile the bushes left for us
The Bush Library in College Station is great. Like him or hate him, the Library is worth a visit.
Exactly. They are their own gods. I believe this crap didn’t start until Hoover and has continued since then.

Not exactly. 7 years after Nobama, there is still no library for him.
I haven’t been to the Reagan Library but I know they have his Air Force One there in all it’s glory.
By comparison to today it’s tiny. I’ve seen it a few times.
